About Me

I am a graduate from Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) with my Bachelor of Science in Converged Communications with Magna Cum Laude honors, with a concentration in Strategic Corporate Communications. In this program I have written radio PSAs, performed field interviews, created videos with storytelling, written blogs, written press releases, and created marketing plans for hypothetical and existing businesses. I am proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Audition, and Premier, WordPress, and Blogger. I can operate a Sony NX3, lavalier, and zoom. I have a portfolio of my videos and production material. I have been published in the Campus Voice, FIP Living, and the Jacksonville BUZZ.

I interned with Renda Broadcasting and while I was there I helped with promotions using DigitalSuite and PromoSuite to pull contest winners, I was on-air Friday mornings with Steve and Eden, wrote copy, published Facebook posts, created a PowerPoint for a business proposal which sold at a value of $30,000, and attended client meetings. I was a Brand Ambassador for the radio station and visited Autobahn Indoor Speedway and made an impromptu video to promote an upcoming event.

I was previously an event planner for a residential community with events ranging from 20-400 people. I conceived themes for the events, planned, designed, designated jobs, coordinated with vendors, set up, and executed events. I took the initiative to start new clubs and events, later getting them approved by my manager and getting the go ahead to take the lead on them. I created a super hero themed back to school party with games, raffles, swimming, and photo ops. I wrote and published articles for a monthly newsletter, designed and created flyers marketing events, and updated the Twitter account.
